Event Technical Direction Management:  Anniversary Celebration at the European Parliament - November 2011: EASPD – 15 years of improving services, improving lives

EASPD is the EUROPEAN ASSOCIATION OF SERVICE PROVIDERS FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES and represents close to 9,000 social service provider organisations across Europe and across disability. The main objective of EASPD is to promote the equalisation of opportunities for people with disabilities through effective and high quality service systems.

This year, EASPD celebrated its 15th anniversary at the European Parliament, with the assistance of Support Base for the organisation of the event. From technical equipment to information about security, Support Base proved itself reliable, well informed and very professional. We were also pleased with the organisation and their availability on the evening itself which allowed us to join the celebration and to respond to the requests of our guests in the most appropriated way. Their entire commitment to our wishes and demands before and during the event contributed to make the evening a success. Thanks for this.

Conference Management. Belgian Presidency Major Conference ‘Chronic Respiratory Diseases – Exploring solutions in the EU’. The SQUARE, Brussels. 2010
As the largest organisation in our field it is important for the European Respiratory Society to convey our messages at the highest levels. Support Base’s greatly toned logistical and organisational skills ensured that our pre-ministerial conference together with the Belgian Presidency of the European Union was very well managed in all respects. They assessed our needs, made excellent preparations and worked very effectively as a team on the day to ensure a very successful event.

“Support base are at all times very professional, extremely flexible and highly efficient. They remove a huge element of stress from event organisation and instil calmness with their innovative problem solving. When fires emerge as they inevitably do they are quick to extinguish them. We have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone looking to organise a policy event at the most important levels of the EU.

Brian Ward. Policy Officer - European Respiratory Society

We simply could not have done our event without Support Base. In particular, they (i) totally understood and focused on our specific needs - they grasped immediately our main aims and the constraints we were working under.(ii) were pro-active and problem solving (they bring solutions, not problems), (iii) were transparent, communicative, responsive and always available. We were never left in the dark and always knew exactly what we had to do and when. (iv) were friendly, calm and reassuring. We grew to think of them as an integral part of our team, not an outside contractor. (v) last but not least, excellent value for money. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them”

The European Cervical Cancer Association [ECCA] and Politicians for Cervical Cancer Prevention [PCCP], have been working closely with Support Base over the last two years during which time they have supported several aspects of our operation with the most important being the annual Cervical Cancer Political Summit Meeting that has been held in the European Parliament.
“We have been highly impressed with the exceptional level of expertise, support and professionalism that has been provided by Support Base, particularly in dealing with the highly complex logistical issues of operating in the European Parliament and in dealing with political VIPs. In addition, one of the unique benefits of dealing with Support Base is their willingness to help with any and all problems, together with their ability to solve those problems. Good, competent customer service is difficult to find these days but can still be found at Support Base. We have no hesitation in recommending Support Base to anyone looking for EU event management and communication support solutions in Brussels.
